Media Law and Ethics
MDI is the pioneer in supporting improvements of legal framework for responsible journalism in Vietnam. We organized the first international conference in Vietnam on Preventing infringement of Honor, Dignity and Reputation in the media.
Investigative Journalism
We advocate for responsible investigative journalism. MDI is the only Vietnamese member of the Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN).
Journalism Training
MDI cooperates with international partners to organize short-term training courses for Vietnamese journalists. In 2019, 03 courses in Hanoi were organized with the sponsorship of the French Media Development Agency (CFI). In March 2020, MDI officially became a partner of the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN IFRA).
Parnership with Project Syndicate
MDI partners with Project Syndicate to open a source of international information from top leaders and thinkers around the world, including 45 Nobel Prize winners and more than 100 heads of state.
Sustainable Development Program
Media Climate Net, an MDI initiative, is reliable source of information on climate change, energy and the environment for journalists, policymakers and the general public.
The network includes more than 300 journalists from top media houses in Vietnam. The birth of the network was announced by Ms. Christiana Figueres, one of the founders of the Paris Agreement, in Hanoi on October 26, 2017.
Kienhoc
Kienhoc is an initiative supported by MDI to increase public knowledge by providing free online multidisciplinary courses from famous Universities around the world.
