More than 100 reporters and media managers participated in the international scientific seminar “Vietnamese and international experiences on investigative journalism” held on March 31 in Hanoi.

This is one of the first in-depth international seminars on investigative journalism and role-playing skills held in Vietnam.

The workshop was co-organized by the Institute of Press and Propaganda, Center for Communication and Development Initiatives, Vietnam Journalists’ Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, sponsored by the Danish Embassy.

Speaking at the seminar, Associate Professor, Dr. Truong Ngoc Nam, Director of the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda, said: “As a major press training institution in Vietnam, the Academy of Journalism and Communication considers Curriculum development and development is a central task.

The training program should be modern, practical and effective. Denmark is assisting the Center for the Media and Development Initiative to organize professional enhancement activities for Vietnamese journalists. I believe this workshop is the start of a deeper, more lasting cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark in the field of media development and is a part of the development of investigative journalism skills in Vietnam.
