WAN-IFRA in partnership with Frontier Myanmar and the Vietnam Center for Communication and Development Initiatives welcome candidates for the first Women in News Accelerator program. of Southeast Asia.
This is the leading leadership development program for women in journalism sponsored by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
Women in News builds skills, strategies and supports a network of female journalism professionals through coaching, training, mentoring and networking. This is an experimental model that has helped develop the capacities of more than 600 female journalists and editors since the introduction of Women in News 10 years ago.
WIN Accelerator Southeast Asia is an intensive 5-month career and leadership program (April to August 2020) for highly experienced journalists and editors in Vietnam and Myanmar. .
Applicants must have at least 2-3 years of journalism experience and be currently working at a print or electronic media agency. The program encourages candidates to have GOOD ENGLISH, as the primary language will be English and there is no translation assistance in the training process.
Note: Priority is given to candidates working in Hanoi. Applicants from other regions will have to bear their own travel and accommodation expenses due to the lack of support in the program.
